Painted on etched wood, this is one of my more personal paintings. I am torn between sharing why I painted it and holding back, allowing the viewer to come up with their own meaning and feeling for the piece.
The series “Come to Me” is about the return of the Self towards an uncorrupted part of itself. There is the paradox of going somewhere and going nowhere, since the destination is within. This piece is about the bravery required for the inquiry, our innocence/true essence, the running into the vastness of all possibilities.
This was made on a 18.5″ x 28.5″ piece of thick wood. Two of its corners are rounded.
